FAQ

Is there a specific license you need to become a tooth gem technician?

Short answer: No. However, it’s best to check your local and state dentistry boards to confirm. Most states do not regulate these services. However in Florida, you have to be an actual dentist and can not enter the mouth.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We have multiple outlets on our checkout page like Klarna, Sezzle, & Affirm.

Is there an exam at the end of the course?

Yes. You must pass with a 90% or better. You will have 3 attempts to take the test.

Do I have to be in the US to complete the course?

No. You can be in any country.

Does applying tooth gems cause pain?

No. The gem will go on the outside surface of the tooth.

How long is the course?

The course is completed at your own pace. You can login anywhere, anytime. The course can be completed in as little as a couple hours.

Does the course ever expire?

Never

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes, once you pass the test at the end of the course.

How long do the gems stay on a tooth using your dental bonds?

The average is 6 months to 2 years and beyond, which is the same as the UV light curing bonds.

Are there methods of applying tooth gems besides the Self-Curing Bonding system?

Certainly. Indeed, we teach the UV light bonding system, which we also cover in our course. There are advantages to acquiring knowledge about both systems. The self-curing bonds take only 5 minutes to apply 1 crystal, making them ideal for uncomplicated designs. On the other hand, the UV bonds prove advantageous for intricate designs; however, they result in a residual bond remaining on the tooth after the gem detachment. Additionally, it's important to note that the UV bonding system relies on electricity, while the self-curing system boasts complete portability and has a proven track record in the dental industry spanning over 23 years.
